Winner of the Juror's Choice Award at the Wayne Art Center National Juried Exhibition. The following article appeared in The Colonial on May 8, 2003:
"Seven year Lafayette Hill resident
Elynne N. Rosenfeld was the winner of
the Juror's Choice Award at the
Wayne Art Center 2003 National Juried
Exhibition. Her painting, "Stalwart"
depicts a tree trunk pushing through
metal tubes on a convex round canvas.
Rosenfeld has been a Philadelphia
area resident for the past 25 years.
After receiving her M.F.A. from the
University of Massachusetts in 1977
she began her art career here.
Active in the Tri-State Artists
Equity Association, she served as its
president from 1983 - 1985 and is a
lifetime honorary member. In 1997
she joined ArtForms Gallery in
Manayunk and has shown in solo and
group shows since then, serving as
co-director in 1999. Her painting is
one of a series that is an outgrowth
of her move to a 4-acre wooded area
along the edge of a nature preserve
near the Miquon School. The show
runs until May 23 [2003]."
